Matt Bassano is a versatile and accomplished teacher and musician of many styles on many instruments. He teaches Piano, Voice, Guitar, Bass, Drums, and other orchestral and folk instruments, in styles including classical, jazz, musical theater, rock/pop, Latin, and lots of world music and folk styles. He excels at teaching beginners musical fundamentals in ways that are fun and easily do-able, and has lots of theoretical and practical advice and instruction for more advanced musicians.

Matt runs Ad Hoc Entertainment , one of Denver’s leading music booking agencies. He runs all sorts of bands and ensembles, and is a sought after sideman and soloist, playing all over the western U.S. in various styles on various instruments.

He has extensive experience in theater. He has been an accompanist for the National Theater Conservatory and Denver Center Theater Academy, and music directors on many shows and projects, including Hamlet (Denver Civic, 2001) and Mattie’s House of Mirrors. He has run pit bands, composed scores, done TV composition and scoring, and acted for live theater and TV.
